On October 16, SIRIO, a leading global CDMO in the nutrition and health sector, inaugurated its state-of-the-art automated packaging line at the Pritzwalk Industrial Park in Germany. More than 100 honored guests, including clients, partners, Pritzwalk Mayor Dr. Ronald Thiel, SIRIO Chairman and CEO Mr. Lin Peiqing, General Manager of the Europe and Americas Division Ms. Sara Lesina, the leadership team, and employee representatives from across Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific, came together to celebrate and witness this landmark moment in SIRIO's development.

With a €16 million investment, SIRIO's new packaging line in Pritzwalk delivers both large-scale production efficiency and flexibility for private-label needs. This achievement strengthens the role of the Pritzwalk Industrial Park as a strategic hub for delivering comprehensive end-to-end solutions, ranging from formulation development to final product packaging, across Europe, while advancing SIRIO's broader global expansion and supply chain optimization strategy.

Pharmaceutical-Grade Standards Driving SIRIO's Productivity Excellence
Quality has always been central to SIRIO's identity. The new packaging line maintains this high bar with end-to-end quality controls that ensure pharmaceutical-grade and food-grade softgels are handled with precision from production through to final packaging.
The new automated packaging line incorporates advanced bottling and blister systems that operate in strict accordance with GMP standards for pharmaceutical manufacturing. This enhancement significantly increases production output while reducing delivery times to as little as three weeks.

With an annual capacity of 5 million units, the high-speed bottling line accommodates bottle sizes from 75 mL to 400 mL. The blister line, capable of producing 20 million packs per year, offers customized solutions for oval and oblong softgels in 10 distinct blister types.

Digital Innovation and Sustainability Advancing Quality and Efficiency
In response to growing market needs, the new automated packaging line incorporates cutting-edge visual inspection and process control technologies. Integrated with state-of-the-art digital tools, these systems provide real-time oversight of key metrics such as appearance, net weight, and metal contamination, safeguarding high product quality.
With a strong focus on sustainability, SIRIO continues to lead the green transformation of the nutritional health industry, actively contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and supporting the sector's long-term growth. Outfitted with energy-efficient heat pumps, solar panels, and energy recovery technologies, the new packaging line minimizes emissions and enhances resource circularity throughout the production process.

In addition, the Pritzwalk Industrial Park has obtained multiple international certifications, including the EU Organic Certification (EC Regulation 2018/848), Friend of the Sea (FOS), Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Chain of Custody, IFS Food, and BRCGS. These certifications underscore the site's commitment to product quality, manufacturing excellence, and sustainable development.
